Mohammad Irfan investigated by PCB but will continue playing PSL - Sethi

Pakistan Super League (PSL) chairman Najam Sethi confirmed that Islamabad Untied pacer Mohammad Irfan was questioned by the Anti Corruption Unit of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as part of their investigation.
The news comes after his team-mates in the tournament Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif were alleged to have tried corrupting the game and were provisionally suspended.
However, unlike the other two, Irfan will continue to feature in the tournament.
Apart from Irfan, the PBC ACU also questioned Zulfiqar Babar and Shahzaib Hasan and the news was confirmed by Sethi in the social media platform Twitter, who assured of a strict action to anyone, who tries to bring disrepute to the game.
"PCB ACU has questioned M Irfan. Inquiry will continue. He does not face any immediate suspension.
"PCB ACU has questioned S Hassan and Z Babar. They will continue to play
"PCB ACU will remain vigilant and continue to protect @thePSLt20 from the menace of corruption.
"No more player suspensions are envisaged during PSL PROVIDED there is no NEW cause for action. Failure to promptly report any attempt to corrupt and subvert PSL will be cause for action."
Zulfiqar has been part of Quetta Gladiators while Shahzaib represents Karachi Kings in the ongoing season of PSL.
